Compare 28 vinyl and SPC flooring contractors in Petaling Jaya, what the work involves, what separates a clean install from a problem floor, and how our rankings work.
Vinyl and SPC (stone polymer composite) flooring have become the default choice for homes and offices around Petaling Jaya that want a wood-look floor without the price or maintenance of solid timber. Vinyl (usually click-lock LVT or loose-lay sheet) sits on the softer, cheaper end. SPC is the rigid-core version: a limestone-and-PVC composite that resists dents, handles moisture better, and holds up under furniture and foot traffic in a way vinyl alone often can't. Both are laid over the existing floor once it's been levelled and cleaned, which means the prep work matters as much as the material itself.
We list 28 contractors in this category, ranging from small install crews to larger renovation outfits that also handle tiling and carpentry. When comparing quotes, look past the price per square foot and check what's actually included: subfloor levelling or screeding, skirting or beading, underlayment for sound and moisture, and how they handle uneven slabs or old tile grout lines that can telegraph through a thin click floor. Ask how they price wastage, whether they warranty the installation separately from the material, and how they deal with expansion gaps near doors and long runs.
Our ranked guide to flooring contractors in Petaling Jaya scores businesses on the factors above along with responsiveness and consistency of past work, and our methodology page explains exactly how we weigh each factor.
